Vinnitsa National Medical University

In the year 1921, National Pirogov Memorial Medical University was founded. It was named after M.I.Pirogov, in 1960. It is a government co-education medical university.

It is recognized by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and the Medical Council of India (MCI). Thus, the Indian students can sit for the FMGE or MCI Screening Test after completing their degree from Vinnitsa National Medical University. The Vinnytsia Medical Institute has been certified and accredited to the IV level of accreditation since 1994, and it has also been granted the status of the University.

In 2002, the University acquired the national status. More than 44,000 students have graduated from this university since foundation.

Today, 6250 students are studying at this university, out of which 2080 students are international students from Europe, Africa, Latin America, Middle East, Asia.

The university has different faculties like Pharmacy, Medical Psychology, Medicine, Dentistry, etc. The University has highly skilled and experienced teaching staff.

The course duration of MBBS course at Vinnitsa National Medical University is 6 years and the degree awarded by Vinnitsa National Medical University is called MD (Physician). The degree is also recognized by the International Medical Education Directory (IMED), General Council Of Medicine of Great Britain and the US Education Department.

At Vinnitsa National Medical University, the medium of teaching is English language and the local language will also be taught to you for easy conversation with the locals during your stay in Ukraine. Vinnytsia is well connected to all other cities and transportation to Vinnitsa from Kyiv is easy.

Vinnitsa National Medical University is approximately 260 km away from the capital city of Kyiv and there is about 3 hours to travel between the two cities via train.
